Perseverance of the Saints — 1 Peter 1:5

The bad news is, that though Christians have been justified and changed by the power of the Spirit, the body of sin still remains, and, sometimes sinful desires so overwhelm us that we fall into great sin. In this way, believes are preserved in their salvation until they experience the full outworking of their salvation in glory.
