In Search of Titus

2 Corinthians 2:12-13

Having been bounced out of Ephesus after three years of ministry, Paul headed for Troy in order to plant a church. However, when Paul arrived at Troy, he could not focus on his labors because he could not find Titus in the city. Overwhelmed with anguish, Paul left troy for Macedonia in search of Titus. In spite of meeting an open door for ministry Paul could not concentrate on his gospel labors because his heart was torn up over the failure to find Titus who he had dispatched to Corinth with the letter of tears. Assuming that the worst had happened, Paul took a break from ministry in order to collect his thoughts. This text teaches important lessons about spiritual pain due to church conflict.
