Gentile Pentecost

It may not have had all the same mysterious sights and sounds as Pentecost did but the most important indicators testify that when the Spirit fell in Cornelius living room, Pentecost came for the Gentiles. Peter had just proclaimed that the promise of salvation was to everyone who believed in Jesus and the outpouring of the Spirit certified that claim in dramatic and epoch changing fashion. The significance of what happened in Cornelius’ living room meant that Gentiles were to be openly accepted into the church and baptized apart from circumcision and received upon no other condition than faith alone.
