Driven to Rome By Providence


Acts 25:1-22

More than one commentator has observed that Acts 25 contains the fingerprints of the invisible hand of God upon it. The details and circumstances of Paul’s incarceration and ultimate appeal to Rome manifest the earmarks of divine governance. However, Paul’s defense and appeal to Caesar indicates that there is a concurrence of action between God’s governance and Paul’s decision making. This message explores the relationship between human decision making and God’s sovereignty in the unfolding of providence.
