Sovereign Salvation

Acts 16:6-15 Sovereign Salvation
Luke tells the story here of how this band of missionaries was sovereignly guided step-by-step to a riverside outside of Philippi to bring the gospel to a seller of purple named Lydia. At every point, Luke shows the sovereign hand of the Lord guiding these missionaries. The story culminates in the sovereign salvation of Lydia as the Lord opened her heart to believe the gospel. The main point of the text is that the sovereign guidance of the Lord in the pursuit of Christian mission highlights the absolute necessity of the sovereignty of God in salvation.
