Acts 15:6-12 Gentiles Are Saved By Sovereign Grace Alone
With the Jerusalem assembly in an uproar and divided over the terms of Gentile admission into the church, Peter rose to speak. Rehearsing the history which the synod already knew, Peter explained that God’s work in saving the household of Cornelius represented a pattern for how all Jews and Gentiles are saved: by the sovereign grace of God alone. When Peter finished his speech the assembly was gripped by calm silence and the true gospel was vindicated.
