Acts 18:23-28

One way to discern what Luke intended to teach the church in this brief narrative is by taking note of the verbs: strengthen, teach, and help. In three different churches separated by hundreds of miles Luke shows us what an ordinary day in their life looked like. Each church was being cared for by Christ ordained pastors who were shepherding the saints with the word. This narrative teaches the church what it ought to be doing and the believer what to seek.
