Thankfulness for Divine Provision

Acts 18:18-22

As the second missionary journey wound its way to conclusion and Paul headed for Syria, he took a vow in order to express his thankfulness for God’s mercies. And of course, Paul had much to be thankful for as he reflected upon the Lord’s providence during this incredibly difficult journey. Four key provisions stand out: co-laborers, divine guidance, preservation, and fruitful labors. This passage teaches the church that moments of life-transition afford opportunity to learn the lessons of providence and to return hearty thanks to the Lord for His provision.
