Acts 21:1-16
In the living room of Philip the Evangelist in Caesarea, the gathered saints pled with Paul, even with tears, not to go to Jerusalem out of a deep concern for his personal safety. Instead of listening to tears, Paul chose his determinations over his emotions and went to Jerusalem where he was arrested and held in custody for over 2 years by the Romans. That decision to follow God’s calling over concern for his personal well being led Paul on a journey to fulfill his calling which was to bear Christ’s name before kings and eventually even before Nero Caesar. This message explores the necessity of unrelenting determination for the pursuit of kingdom calling.
