In the middle of the 5th century BC, the people of God were in gross rebellion against God offering lame sacrifices, marrying foreign daughters, and engaging in no fault divorce. This rebellion seems to have been rooted in cynicism and a kind of a malaise rooted in bitterness. The cure proposed by the Lord was simple yet substantive: remember the law of Moses and embrace the hope of the gospel. This message explores the remedy for curing spiritual malaise through cultivating a proper regard for the word of God, coming under the corrective power of Scripture, and looking to the hope of gospel grace.
